I love working with children of all ages and abilities and helping them with academics. I don't believe I have a specific teaching style. I know that I have to be flexible and creative with each student. Everyone learns differently, and I feel it is my obligation to find what works for each child. I do belive in providing hands on and real life scenarios when teaching. I have been very successful in academics throughout my education. I have been employed by the Cambria Heights School District for 14 years as a Title 1 educator. I currently am involved in curriculum math and reading. My job mainly deals with helping students achieve success by developing learning skills that fit the individual needs of specific students and adapting regular classroom instruction to fit those needs. Most lessons can be taught in various styles but teachers are often faced with a curriculum guideline that they must follow. Often they do not have time to reteach the lesson and students begin to fall behind. With encouragement, guidance, and a new approach, many students can not only "catch up" but also stay succesful in that class.

As a special education teacher, I have experience in a variety of settings such as alternative education, partial hospitalization programs, and autistic support programs. I currently teach high school autistic support students in a classroom based program. I have tutored for a private facility as well as through a school district after school program. As a Penn State graduate, I was motivated to achieve a high level of excellence in my teaching career.
