How do I summarize teaching in my life? I guess the best way to explain my teaching experience is to tell you a story. As a young girl I wanted to be a teacher. Because of my love of learning I taught all my siblings how to read. I know it is pretty funny but it is a true story. That led to my doing teaching seminars, which led to consulting, which led to training, which led to my working with individuals as a life coach. I have been a CEO, Vice President, Consultant, Senior Broker, Artist, Photographer, Glass Blower, Jewelry Designer and writer, the job titles have changed over the years; the only consistent has been that teaching has always been a part of my working life.

I have always been a very direct teacher. What I mean by that is I am very clear on what my goals are in a classroom from the very first day I begin. I let all of the students know what my expectations are, and what dissapoints me. I know that each child is different. I have always been willing to take the time to support those students who need extra attention, whether it be before or after school.
