A Little Bit About Me...

As an analytical chemist, I have been exposed to teaching and learning chemistry in both the research area and in the teaching section. As a graduate student I taught general chemistry at undergraduate levels in both the laboratory and the lecture rooms. I have also gained experience from the University of Dubuqe, IA where I taught undergraduate students general chemistry. I held after class help sessions to help students through the difficulties they had in class. My teaching style is very similar to how I was taught, lots of examples with guidance. I was never given the answer, but given all the tools to necessary to complete the task. In most math courses, the problems themselves are not what you have to worry about, but the clock is the real problem. Therefore, lots of example and building confidence from those examples would be my ideal teaching style.
While earning my degrees, I was inducted into a honor society with emphasis on helping the engineering students in our department in several way. Our focus was working with companies for future jobs and offering free tutoring every week for all computer and electrical engineering courses that were junior level and below.
