I have a natural affinity for teaching. Although I have "formally" taught for the last 3 years; I have volunteered in various capacities teaching young and mature alike. I find innovative ways for my students to learn and my passion and enthuiasm for learning is contagious. I have taught/tutored in computer applications (MS-Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), accounting principles (I and II), payroll accounting, business ethics and business management.
I use various methods to teach, based on the learning style of the individual. Whether a tactile learner, an auditory learner or a visual learner, I cater to the needs of person. As an educator, I have learned that not all children are the same and they all learn at different paces. I create a plethora of activites to reach each child where they are. I use visual, auditory, and hands on activities to help reach them build and imporve skills.
I have earned a bachelors in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Education Management. I have three years of experience in tutoring children in various subjects: Math, Reading, history, spelling, writing, science, etc. I enjoy tutoring and have fun teaching the students new skills in order to succeed in various subjects.
