I usually ask tutees to work out some problems or ask them a few questions to see where they are and what needs to be worked on. The rest depends on their level of understanding of the subject matter. While I was pursuing my Bachelor's Degree, I was working as a student tutor. I had tutored since my sophomore year, for the total of 3 years. I tutored college students in math, finance and accounting.
