Most of my experience stems from my Bachelor of Arts degree at Wartburg College, Waverly, IA. As a Biology major, I have a good background in Life Sciences and Math. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a teacher and professor now for about half of my life. I have taught various science subjects to students of diverse abilities. This includes students at the junior high level to medical students. Despite the age difference there are a number of characteristic traits that remain constant in every learner. The job of a professor is to listen to the student and gauge the level of understanding of the topic and steer the learner to correct answer. This is achievable in any topic with any student. A Little Bit About Me...

My favorite part of being a teacher is when I see a struggling student succeed. I believe that all students do not learn in the same way, and so it is of utmost importance to find the BEST learning method for each child. It is important to keep the student involved in the learning process with hands-on activities that allow the student to experience the science!

A Little Bit About Me...

I feel I have a unique teaching style. Because I have tutored students from sophomore in high school to sophomore in college, I have learned to tailor my teaching style to each specific student. For instance, I have used mnemonics, assignment homework assignments, and suggested drawing diagrams or rewriting notes to help students learn.
