As a young college student I understand that my experience doesn't compare to those with degrees and much time doing it. But I know that being an older sister to younger brothers and sisters while helping them with homework and watching them grow up is a type of tutoring. I have been there for all my brothers milestones, when he learned how to walk, learned to talk, and started to learn to read. I am very proud to say that I have been there every step of the way. I do not have any experience outside of my own home, but I do know that I love helping kids grow and succeed.
Every kid is different in their own special way. You need different tactics per different kid. As a graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Education, I have a great diverse experience with children and families. I have volunteered my education experience and worked at many places including preschools, kindergarten centers, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and early childhood centers. I also have been involved as a juvenile tracker for Lutheran Social Services where I had to earn each juvenile's trust and help them become more responsible and be able to positively deal with school and life in general. I have served as a tutor for many years in all subjects for students in grades 2 through 8.
