For example, some people may learn through discussion, while others may need to see pictures or presentations of the subject matter. I like to identify how the person learns first through questions, or by testing them with a simple task first to identify the method which seems to work best for them. I am in my sixth year of teaching in elementary school, and previous to that I taught for 3 years (GED prep, Life Skills, Cognitive Skills) at a prison.
