I worked as a substitute teacher for a charter high school in St. Louis, MO directly out of undergrad. I taught most subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, History and Language Arts. I feel comfortable in my ability to teach most subjects and have no issue working in difficult classrooms as I have grown accustomed to such environments working in St. Louis.
Being no stranger to difficult classroom settings, I understand that ideal teaching conditions rarely exist. My senior year internship was working within the Grand Rapids Public Schools teaching life skills and abstinence to both high school and middle school students. I then became a Youth Treatment Specialist at Wedgwood Christian Services.
