Teaching organic chemistry has been a passion of mine for many years. I’m a full time independent chemistry tutor, both worldwide via Skype and locally in Western Massachusetts. I have an M.S. in computational organic chemistry. Organic chemistry is unique in the way that first principles build on each other throughout the course. I am an expert at breaking chemistry down into fundamental concepts so that students I work with can spend less time memorizing, and more time understanding. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe the best way for someone to learn something is through application and repetition. As both a tutor and youth lacrosse coach I have had success by teaching my students how to approach problems rather than simply giving them answers. A Little Bit About Me...

Following my graduation from the University of Connecticut I pursued a career in the insurance industry but have also spent time working as a youth group leader and worked as a part-time tutor for several years. While living in Connecticut I tutored homebound high school age children who were either out on medical leave or expelled for disciplinary purposes. I am proud to report that in addition to several other students, I provided tutoring for a full course load covering an entire year for one expelled student who improved grades in every course and went on to graduate. As a student of life I believe that the best thing we can do for our children is to teach them how to learn. With that particular tool in their toolbox, there is no limit to what they can accomplish. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always tried my best to help my fellow students in classes, but my formal experience teaching began my junior year of undergraduate. I started tutoring for the chemistry department and I volunteered for a chemistry demonstration show that promotes an interest in chemistry. When I started graduate school I got more experience as a teaching assistant for various general chemistry courses.
