Talent Development Tutoring

I have led several workshops about differentiation and developmentally appropriate practices for early childhood educators and parents over the last couple of years. I have been tutoring for elementary aged students for ten years now. Parents have seen real academic gains through the tutoring approach I take. To overcome areas of difficulty I follow children’s interests and talents. For some children I use Montessori didactic teaching materials to extend students learning. I maintain ongoing records of assessment and observation’s for each child that I tutor for. A typed report about tutoring activities and student progress is given to each parent for each tutoring session. I have over 15 years experience in many areas of teaching from Adult Sign Language classes to Pre-kindergarten hearing. I have taught both hearing elementary students and deaf students of all ages. I have worked with children of all ages and abilities in a variety of settings throughout high school, college and as a certified Elementary Education Teacher and Reading Specialist for the past seven years. Currently, I am on maternity leave and am looking to provide tutoring services in the areas of Reading, Writing and Mathematics.
