A Little Bit About Me...
With nearly a lifetime of teaching youth and adult learners, I have focused on teaching computer skills in the more recent period of my career. Computer skills include the physical use of the PC (personal computer) and Microsoft Office software—Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Windows. In my classes, I also included the teaching of good writing skills for my students to use in writing their term papers. Other subject proficiencies include psychology, sociology, math-statistics, history, physics and library skills.
I taught to engage the audio, visual and kinesthetic capabilities of each student in the learning process. I encouraged note taking by creating handout outlines of the information being covered and students inserted notes into each section of the outlines and I used physical objects to demonstrate how computer systems work and students took apart, put together and troubles ... read more
