Violin is one of my top subjects!

I am a fine artist in the capital region capable of teaching drawing, painting, violin, and contact and traditional staff. I am attending an artist residency in Chautauqua NY this summer, and have attended in years past. In 2013 I attended the Rome Art Program and have so been to Vermont Studio Center for thier programs. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a senior at the State University at Albany, where I am majoring in History. I am aniticapting graduating in the summer of 2010. I earned my AS degree in Liberal Arts. I currently work as a after school counselor at PineBush Elementary in Guilderland NY. Majoring in History, I have learned to write various papers and analized data. I have tutured students also in other subjects such as English, and Government.
I love to teach children and have fun at the same time. I love to incoprate games, i.e. jeopordy, or watch various DVD's on the subject that I am tutoring. I also realaize that not every student leanrs the same, what may work for one may not work for another.

I thoroughly enjoy teaching, and I like to make it a fun and enjoyable experience. I am a patient and easy going person, and I am able to adapt well to an individual's particular style of learning. I fully understand and appreciate the importance of teaching through discovery, and I use a combination of teacher-centered and student-centered techniques to provide a constructive approach to learning.
I am currently a practicing attorney in Albany, New York, and I plan to go back to school to obtain my Ph.D in Public Administration and Policy. In addition to my JD, I also possess a BA in both Political Science and Spanish. During the last nine years, I have tutored students in a number of subjects, including government, social studies, Spanish, English, and research and writing.
