Every student is unique and benefits from an individualized instruction. My style is business casual; I am firm yet warm and encouraging with students.
My very first year of teaching was at the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School, and I also taught for two years at Northern Lehigh High School. Currently, I am resigned and staying home, but looking to work part time. I have experience teaching grades 7-12 and working with all types of students. The classes I've taught range from Honors English to a class which targeted students struggling to gain proficiency in English related PSSA skills.

Some people can read and immediately understand. Others need the repetition of hands-on experience. My teaching methods include brainstorming, thought organization, use of the thesaurus, and use of adverb and adjective clauses to overcome writer’s block. These are in part “taught” but also developed by recognition and support of inborn talents. Operative use of vocabulary is also imperative to the development of both writing and speaking skills. Practice is as much a key to success as it is in sports, music, or in any discipline. Research is an important tool in the process of effective writing as well as speaking. Research skills are best taught by demonstration. Didactic methods are dry and uninspiring. It is best to teach research skills by actually working with the student.
