Genetics is one of my top subjects! Similar to experience in Biochemistry, I have practical experience in molecular genetics and studies classical genetics in college.

I took a variety of Biology classes and Labs at WPI mostly focused on Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics. I recently finished my PH.D. where I studied control of viral gene expression. This work encompassed a variety of biological disciplines including virology, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and molecular genetics, all of which I am quite experienced in. I also have experience teaching in a seminar format as well as in small groups. As a senior graduate student I was responsible for leading discussions prior to invited speaker seminars.
I believe that stimulating conversation and allowing people to arrive at answers on their own and through experience is the best way to form lasting connections.

As a recent college graduate, it is my strong belief that education can open doors to opportunities. Through my undergraduate and graduate career, I have tutored and mentored my peers through science college courses, including biology, genetics, and chemistry. During the summer months, I instructed courses (Immunology and Anatomy/Physiology) for high school students as part of a summer boarding program. Although my formal training has been in the sciences, I am looking for the opportunity to tutor in math, which was my strong point in high school and college through AP and Honors courses.
