I have spent the better part of the past 12 years teaching grammar, creative writing, literature, and basic English structure. I have my BFA in Creative Writing and my BA in English from Arkansas Tech University, and I have my MA in English from Highlands University. I have taught all levels of college composition, creative writing, and American Lit. Also, I have taught English at the high school level. Also, I have a minor in American History. I have a unique passion for the world of accounting and have a desire to share that passion with other students. I know that a students instructor or tutor can make or break their desire to learn a particular subject. It is my desire to ensure that every student I work with not only learns the subject matter, but begins to enjoy learning it. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2008 with a BBA in Accounting. I am currently completing my MS in Accounting through the University of Connecticut through their distance learning program. I earned a 3.0 at Texas A&M while working a full-time accounting job and I currently have a 3.93 at University of Connecticut, whihc I have also earned while maintaining a full-time job. I enjoy being able to work with children and being able to positively impact their lives whether that be through empowering them to succeed or teaching new skills. Throughout my graduate studies I worked as a substitute teacher from grades pre-k-12; however I especially enjoyed working with younger children as it allows for more creativity and thinking outside of the box. I would consider myself to be very patient, open-minded and understanding of every individual's needs. As a student in high school, I always have had a passion for math, as well as a passion to teach. I earned my Associate's Degree in Math Education from Mary Holmes College & went on to pursue my Bachelor's Degree from Mississippi State University. Even while pursuing my degrees, I was a Substitute Teacher for the West Point School District for almost 4 years. I then became a Teacher Assistant for the Starkville School District, and now I am a Pre-K Teacher for Oktibbeha COunty School District. I love children, I love learning, and most of all I love teaching! I love learning & teaching children of all ages & of all learning styles. I am a very dedicated, patient, & passionate teacher.
