I would say my teaching style is more relaxed. I believe this helps one see students weaknesses and strengths better. It also allows one to compare the overall effect of teaching for each student. When I see a student falling behind then thats when I take action and try top get them where they should be in that area.
My experience is one that has taken me many different places to meet many diffrent people. I have always had a gift of helping others and conveying to them my knowledge. I obtained my BA in English Communication from Talladega College and also i have a minor in History. I have had a great deal of expereince in writng papers, essays, articles ,and reports. I find that teaching children is a wonderful and life changing job. That helping a child learn any subject is easy when the teacher understands they are their for the benefit of the child not necessarily seeing it as 'work'. Each child learns differently at different paces and to maximize their potential the teacher must conform to their needs. Through understanding of what is being asked, repetitive problems/assignments to master the subject and then a brief and often review of the subject that the child is weakest in proves to be an excellent way of presenting information also.

I have 20 plus years of teaching experience. I have worked with students from pre-school age to adults. I have taught students with a variety of disabilities and functioning levels from severely impaired to gifted.
Many students struggle with relationships and well as their academics. I believe in creating a safe, nuturing environment were a student is able to work at his own pace, at his own level, and feel a bond with his teacher. Setting realistic and obtainable goals with the student is a key factor to success. Measuring and documenting progress allows student, teacher, and family to see a visual record of growth. Addressing multiple intelligences and multiple learning styles are essential for struggling students. Finding a student's best mode of learning increases self-esteem and time on task.
