A Little Bit About Me...

I believe there are no bad students, just bad methods of teaching. Therefore, I have sought out the best methods of teaching to aid my students in understanding a subject, building on the basics. I have used these methods successfully as a homebound instructor for middle school and high school students. I also have experience working with ‘learning disabled’ and remedial level students in the third grade. Currently, I tutor community college students in Algebra and assist with English Composition proof-reading.
I approach teaching is “learner centered.” I first determine a student’s personality and learning style. Then, I tailor the instruction to use his or her strengths to accelerate comprehension. A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate student working towards earning my Master's in Education, I presently observe and do field research studies with students at the elementary age. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree which has enabled me to gain in depth experience and comprehension in mathematics. I have worked with school children for several years as a Site Director for Champions which provided me an opportunity to help children in many facets of learning. For two years, I tutored mathematics for grades K-12 for our local school district while also teaching online math courses to gifted children.
