Creative Writing is one of my top subjects!

My teaching style is more hands on because that's how I learned fastest when I was in school.
I am going to school to become a teacher in the grades of kindergarten through 5th, I have been a nanny for several people and have enjoyed it completely! During my nanny duties, I would of course have a home-schooling section and would also help around the house when needed, so I think that I am a very good candidate for teaching basics and other subjects to help kids better themselves and their studies!

I am currently a high school junior. That being said, I do not have a degree. However, I am in the top 20% of my high school class, I take only honors classes, and actually learn the material so I can tutor a student who needs help. My teaching style is to move at the students pace - however slowly or quickly that may be. I don't mind being asked the same questions. In fact, I believe that there is no such thing as a bad question, and that a student should ask a question as many times as s/he feels it is necessary to do so.

Creative Writing is one of my top subjects! In preparing my students for the end-of-year testing we explored topics both creative and non-fiction to incorporate structure, vocabulary choices and proof-reading skills.

I have a Bachelors Degree from the Univerity of Minnesota where I obtained my secondary teaching license. I taught ninth grade English for eight years in Morris, Minnesota and focused heavily on writing, grammar, speech and the Renaissance. When we moved to Raleigh, I taught 7th grade Language Arts at Fred J. Carnage Middle School for two years.
My classrooms were traditional with twenty to thirty students with a variety of learning and maturity levels. When I tutored students who needed additional help with the end-of-year writing tests, I worked with small groups of four to six, or one-on-one as indicated.
