I enjoy teaching and working with children. I believe every child has a different way of learning and I am capable of meeting the needs of each student. I enjoy helping children discover their potential and encourage creative thinking. I know from my past that good educators can make a huge difference in a child's enthusiasm and self-esteem.
I grew up with both partents in the public education system, I was a student-teacher in H.S. and I earned a bachelor degree in Parks, Recreation, Natural Resource Management with a minor in Art Education. My teaching style is one of discipline and at the same time hands-on. Students must feel the relevance of the world around them in order to gain an understanding of what's being taught. I work with the individual but never let the focus off of the competition that's waiting. Students must understand that learning is an every day, every moment experience. It's all about how they see the world around them. I love teaching and working with children. The "aha" moment is what I live for. I believe that EVERY student can achieve what they set their mind to with guidance and persistence.
In a nutshell, I taught high school English for eleven years. I am passionate about all facets of education in the classroom and the real world. I have much to offer my students whether it be a love of literature, grammar and vocabulary or life itself! I love to teach.
