A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a substitute teacher for the last 6 years. I have taught PreK-12th grade in all subjects. I have been tutoring kids for 2 years and have really enjoyed it. I am working on a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Special Education. I have been coaching kids since I have been out of high school. My teaching style is patient. I don't believe there is any other way. I listen, I watch, and I give helpful suggestions. I answer the student's questions only as far as what is needed. The students that I work with know and understand that they will be doing the work. I create a friendship with my students so that they respect me as more than a tutor and that I respect them more than a student. Yet, I will help students learn new ways to remember procedures and processes. Overall, I and my students will work together to learn from each other, and to increase our love for learning.
