I have two degrees, one in public school music from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. The other is listed as a credential. I did not teach music. I did work for 7 years in public accounting, and am a CPA. I have 15+ years experience in Financial planning/investment management. Those years include 8 years with trust organizations inside banks, and 7+ years in national sales. I also spent time as CFO of a local company. I have led many sales presentations and training sessions in each of those occupations, and have always been able to explain things easily and understandably.
I believe that students need to be guided through the learning process to lead them to discovery of concepts themselves as much as teachers just spewing what they know. I also understand that there are many different learning styles, and as a tutor one of our jobs is to understand how our students learn best.

A Little Bit About Me...

Every kid is different in their own special way. You need different tactics per different kid. Being that I am patient and caring I know that it wouldn't take long for them to get comfortable with me and have me assist them. I believe that every good deed should be rewarded and if the student is doing well he shall be treated so, with a possible treat or even a pat on the back. I feel that if a child is told what they are doing right rather than what they are doing wrong they are more likely to have a positive outlook on what task they are trying to accomplish.
As a young college student I understand that my experience doesn't compare to those with degrees and much time doing it.
