My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : same as above

I´ve been translating many documents English to Portuguese and vice versa. Also have experience on voice over. ADd subtitles to videos. Some transcriptions are part of my experience. I work in several areas. Advertising, EDucation, Multimedia, Sports, Politics... are some of the areas I´ve been working on. I´m a perfeccionist and I like to deliver my work on time. Companies for those I´ve worked for will recommend my work to you.
I like to get online with My students and provide with a study dynamics which revolves on some exercises, speaking the language is important in order to be able to dominate it. Learn the basics in a really easy fashion, you can do anything if you put your mind into it. Several tests will be presentend on each stage of lessons.

I try to take a hands-on approach to teaching when possible. I find it helpful to use varied and often unusual objects and materials when teaching a lesson; it tends to make the material more memorable. However I am not above using the standard pencil/paper/textbook approach when needed.
I consider myself to be a "beginner" teacher as I have recently graduated college and received my license. I have spent roughly 500 hours in the field as a result of college course requirements, and I have successfully completed a 12 week internship (student teaching) experience. Reading Comprehension is one of my top subjects!

Due to my special education training, I am able to determine a student's learning style and teach to their strength. I also like to educate students about the different learning styles and make them aware of their learning strengths.
Columbus Public Schools 1987-1997: During this time period, I taught at the high school, middle school, and elementary level. I then left formal education to stay home with my children. I believe that the most important role of an educator is to be able to recognize the learning style of the student. Once this is established the student can be successful. All students can learn given the opportunity and appropriate tools necessary to achieve their potential. I also believe that learning must be fun for students to actively engage in the process. I graduated from Ohio University in 1978 with a BS in Education. I went on to earn a Masters degree in Educational Administration.
