A Little Bit About Me...

I would say my teaching style is very thorough and repetitive. Repetition is what truly sticks information into student’s minds, despite its annoying tendencies. My middle school class would frequently complain that we had already covered something; but their test scores showed that it paid off in the long run! I am a kinesthetic learner and understand how everyone has different learning styles so I incorporate all styles when teaching a lesson. I include reading, verbal, visual and hands on learning when possible. When learning or teaching math I feel the more problems you can do the better.

As a graduate student, I understand how important the ability to communicate in both written and verbal contexts is and I also know how difficult the skill can be to utilize effectively. I have worked with high school and college students who wanted to improve their skills in writing and speaking. I have also tutored people working to acquire English as a second language. I have twelve years of experience in writing and speaking learned throughout my time in school. I have taken the GRE test and I am currently working on a Master's Degree in Creative Writing.
