A Little Bit About Me...

My tutoring experience includes helping my peers at the University of Wyoming and duties of training petty officer in the US Navy. At UW, I tutored physics, math, and basic engineering. While getting my BS in Mechanical Engineering, I gained an extensive knowledge of the principles and practice of mathematics. I was the training petty officer both at boot camp and on my ship, FFG43. I was responsible creating lessons and giving training that resulted in improved job knowledge and increased qualifications for members of my division.
I love seeing children learn and grow. My teaching style is a whole, part, whole approach. I teach the abstract concept and then the practical application. A Little Bit About Me...

It seems that ever since I can remember I have been a person that people go to for help. At a young age I would be place with students that were struggling . I feel that this began my career path to becoming a teacher. When I attended Jr College I worked as a tutor for those students that struggled in math. During my education to become a teacher I started working at a group home facility for adolescents. Inevitably , they were usually behind in their studies at school. It was part of my job to help them in their day to day lives and studies. Whereas I helped the students in all area I feel that my strongest areas were Science and Math.

As a graduate from one of the top Liberal Arts programs in the country, I have a well-rounded education founded in the comprehensive tools of thought - logic, reason, and an understanding of first principles. I have discovered that this education enables me to learn new skills with a ease and thoroughness; in addition, it enables me to teach others by helping them learn the first principles of the knowledge in their subject, which is a learning by induction, in addition to deduction.
