My teaching style would be that of Guided Discovery. This is a highly interactive style which leads the student to uncover the answer themselves as opposed to the teacher simply reciting the answer to them. Guided Discovery requires the student to learn by doing therefore developing necessary problem solving and deductive skills that will make them better learners and thinkers both now and in the future. I implement this style by asking leading questions, giving examples, making analagies and asking the student what they think or ask them to explain how they came upon a certain conclusion. During my time as a student studying Biological Sciences, I encountered varying levels of math and science ranging from statistics to calculus and basic biology to various types of advanced physiology. I have taken the opportunity to tutor fellow classmates and younger students in science through the biological honor society, Omicron Theta Epsilon. I am a strong believer in the Socratic method of teaching, which from my understanding, means asking the student questions regarding what they already know about a concept in order to customize the lesson and/or "lead" them to the answer. I also try to use analogies and real life examples that are tailored according to the interests of my student. For example, if my student is interested in sports, then I try to use sports analogies and examples to describe difficult concepts.
