My comments on tutoring World History : I have a history Minor attached to my undergraduate degree. I specialize in Russian History, American History, and European History.

During my high school and university careers, I have focused primarily on languages and language acquisition. I have studied 12 different languages and I have obtained varying degrees of proficiency in each of them: Latin, Romanian, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, German, Danish, Swedish, Greek, Scottish Gaelic, and Welsh. I am most proficient in Russian and Latin, with conversational proficiency in Danish, French, and Spanish. In all others, I have basic/intermediate proficiency skills. I also focused on history and historical circumspection. I minored in History while at University, taking many various history courses. I have a solid foundation in Russian History, American History, and European History, particularly in English, Scottish, and French History.

Retired teacher with 27 years of experience!

I have 27 years of experience teaching and case managing public school special education students in grades 9-12. I am patient but firm. In order to be a success in the business world, one must be able to write and speak the English language correctly. If the student knows English, everything else in general business can be taught. Thus, in a tutoring environment, I try to make learning fun and make a game out of speaking and writing proper English. I believe that every child can learn even those that are handicapped. My mother was a specialist in teaching trainable children and got them jobs after graduation. Being around children with IQ's around 60 gave me special insight and understanding.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am seeking my teaching certificate and will receive it by the end of the next semester if not before. My strong suit has always been reading, spelling and phonics and was NC state spelling bee champion.
