I graduated in 2004 in International and Intercultural Communication from George Mason University. While in college, I tutored Italian to students enrolled in the Italian study abroad program and majoring in Italian. I did single and group sessions. I attended from elementary to high school Italian speaking schools in Italy. At the moment, I work as a consultant for an Italian bank in Manhattan.
I teach by the book all the grammar and syntax rules. Then, when the student is enough confident to make a basic conversation, I choose an everyday scenario and try to build the conversation around it. People have told me all my life what a great teacher I would be. I have also been fortunate to have acquired a vast number of friends who are not native born Americans. As such, I have always helped them learn English. It was one of the reasons I chose to study International Relations as a Master's candidate, to learn more about the world.
