I am currently enrolled as a student at the University of Maryland, College Park, in my junior year studying mechanical engineering. Prior to my studies at UMD, I took several classes at Frederick Community College, while in high school. My one to one teaching style is tailored to adapt to the students learning style. However, my experience shows that keeping the student active during the learning process promotes a better learning. I use Microsoft Excel during my lessons. I create formulas, graphs, etc. and the Excel spreadsheet and ask the student to enter the data so that he/she can see how things change with different entries. I always enjoyed teaching mathematics topics such as Calculus to students. That subject in particular is needed for many applied fields in which several (engineering, physics, actuarial science) I have both working and educational experience in.
