Individualized learning/teaching for optimal comprehension

I take a hands on material approach to learning/teaching. I feel that young students learn best when they can physically learn, such as through blocks/puzzles/interactive learning devices and other similar approaches. I try to let the student use their hands as much as I can to aid in their learning process. A Little Bit About Me...

My bachelors is in Elementary Education, but my experiences are in middle school. I started my teaching experience in Salisbury Maryland where I did all of my student teaching. The two sixth grade classrooms that I engaged in were totally different from each other; different demographics, different backgrounds, different school cultures, and the list could go on. Each school however did share one thing in common; the ability to throw curve balls at you at every turn and neither schools fell short of an eventful day. I believe that we all learn better one way versus another but it does not negate the many ways of learning as well.
