As a graduate from an accredited college, I have learned and excelled as a science major. I have earned a BA in Biology, which has enabled me to obtain a well rounded education, which focused on math and science. In addition, I have learned extensive grammatical skills throughout my educational experience in writing laboratory reports, research papers, and on my own study I, myself conducted. For the past six years I have worked with challenged children and adults all subject areas. I am very hands on, so I like to take my students outside and let them touch and feel things we are learning about. Having graduated from Appalachian State University in 2009 with a BSc. in Biology/Ecology, as well as an internship at the Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota, Florida, I've returned back to Asheville to find employment. I have had experience working with children and teenagers as a senior counselor at Cedars Camps for over 3 years as well a counselor for children at The Florida Aquarium. I have also worked for several years as the Teaching Assistant in Geology at both Principia College and Appalachian State University. I believe that each child learns in a different way, and as a teacher it is my challenge and duty to teach in such a way, to approach the problem from enough different angles, that each student would understand the concept at hand. In 2002 I graduated with a degree in biotechnology. During the last semester of school, I was a substitute teacher, where I learned a lot about children and different teaching styles.
