A Little Bit About Me...

My BS is in Social Work and my MAT is in Elementary Education. Through my experience as a teacher, social worker and coach I have found my passion in educating children. Teaching in a Title I classroom I specialized in working with students in need of additional help in Math and Reading. I am trained in DIBELS, Wilson, and Read Naturally. DIBELS is an assessment to show if students are on grade level. Wilson is a reading program that aids students in fluency. Read Naturally's focus is fluency, vocabulary and phonics. In Math I worked with skill groups. The students were divided into specific groups depending on the student’s weakness in a particular area of Math. Some students may need new strategies or repetition.
