Ready to love learning

Adaptive. I have a background in experiential education and believe that the method is not as important as the end result of having assimilated, understood, and taught back the information. I currently work as a substitute teacher at Riverside Military Academy. I've worked with elementary children and teenagers extensively. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style goes from both pedagogy to description. Once I understand the knowledge of the student, I speak to them on the level of what they know, depending on the age. Since I've worked with students from age 2 to adulthood, I try to relate to students based on their age as well. If the student is not very knowledgeable of music, I tend to explain things to make it plain. Often, professionals tend to speak "over" the student's head with technical words, so they have no clue as to how to produce a note. I use descriptions to make the idea more useful to the student.
