I am currently a high school English teacher teaching all levels of students at a local high school. In the past I have also been involved with teaching online courses. I earned my undergraduate degree from UVM and my MS from UNE. I am currently certified to teach English grade 5-12 in NH.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated in 2009 with my BA in English and am currently pursuing my masters in writing. While at the undergraduate level I learned about all manner of skill in writing from research papers to poetry. I am currently finishing up a Teaching Writing course at the graduate level at the University of New Hampshire. Taking this course has certainly broadened my understanding of writing and more importantly how to teach it. For the spring semester I am continuing on with a Teaching Secondary English course, also at the graduate level. As an undergraduate I worked at the mathematics tutor lab in our department. As a PhD student I both taught and assisted in the teaching of mathematics courses at the university level. Also I have experience with privately tutoring elementary, jr. high and high school students.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style was both original and personal. I have had the opportunity to travel to many parts of the world, and I brought those varied experiences to my teaching. The students would ask me to tell them stories of my travels. This was partly to get off the subject matter, but they also enjoyed hearing about different parts of the world as qwell.
I taught Language Arts from grades 7-12 for 27 years. I maintained a classroom,organized my curriculum as well as doing interdisciplinary projects. I retired from active teaching in 1999, but I did a brief period of tutoring with a young child with academic disabilities. I would really enjoy teaching again and would appreciate any opportunity to achieve this
