I have always wanted students to really know the material being covered. This has meant keeping their interest through jovial yet concentrated lesson planning. Much too often Educators show students how to answer questions rather than helping the student learn how to handle new scenarios. I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student. Visual tasks, memory games, and hands-on-learning are, in my opinion, the best way to help someone truly learn (versus rote memory).
