Language Arts is one of my top subjects! Look at reading material as a menu in a restaurant. If you understand Language Arts, you can read between the lines and order something not listed on the menu that they can make for you.

As a teacher, I encourage students to learn the traditional methods of learning, then use them as a guideline and modifier them to find their own learning style. One-size-fits-all only work when it comes to tube socks!
I have been teaching K4-8 since 1994 as a substitute and certified teacher. I hold a BA in Computer Science, and Mathematics, and a Master in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University.
