For kids up to 12 years old, I use a variety of methods and instructional tools such as colorful foam and board books, coloring books, flashcards, posters, videos, audios, and games among others (some materials may be at an extra cost). Puzzles, music, drawing, and physical activity are important in a child’s world of learning through exploration and critical thinking. Kids’ lessons usually start with common vocabulary such as shapes, colors, food, family members, etc. and gradually transition to simple 2-3 word sentences after acquiring a certain amount of vocabulary.

Individualized learning/teaching for optimal comprehension

I started tutoring in my teens helping young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders develop English and Math skills as well as speech therapy and public speaking. I tutored my fellow students while attending Carroll Community College in English 101 and 102 as well as Creative Writing. I am a 17 year old female who has so much talent to share with the people around me. I'm apart of a community service club, I play a variety of instruments, and from my experiences I've gained a lot of wisdom. I may not be certified with a piece of paper to show, but who said that in order to spread knowledge you had to have graduated and attended college? All in all I aim to please and I give 100% because 99 1/2 won't do.
