I have tutored for students with ages raging from 14 to 25 years old and included algebra, geometry, calculus, physics, etc. I worked as an 8th grade math teacher for a Catholic School as well. I think learing about your student is most important thing first and then teach them the way they learn quick, such as if they are visual learning or practical learner. that's what i do with my students, simply talk to them and ask what they think is the easy way to learn stuff for them and that's how I try to help them.
