Latin is one of my top subjects! I have four semesters of college Latin and a B.A. in Classics.

While pursuing a double degree from the University at Buffalo and working part-time, I worked in peer tutoring groups for Latin and writing. I have experience proof reading papers and correcting grammar. My four semesters of college Latin have given me a understanding of English language origins and modern usages. Latin also helps me to use punctuation and grammar correctly and effectively. I am well versed in aspects of earth science and geology due to my interest in geology at the University at Buffalo. While there I completed two full semesters of geology lab and lecture.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a very strong passion for learning and teaching various topics within Biology, such as studying genetics, microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, basic chemistry and basic math. I obtained a B.S. in Biology, cum laude at Allegheny College and will have the M.A. in Biochemistry from SUNY at Buffalo on 06/01/11. Because I have this strong passion I like to share it in hopes whoever I can teach can also appreciate it. In college, I was a reading tutor for kids from K-5 grades. As it was primarily for reading. Also within college, I found myself helping my friends understand the material.

Teaching is a skill that requires flexibility. As a college student, I have tried many different studying techniques and have succeeded in finding one suitable for my style. Teaching requires different styles and techniques until one is successful. I have observed that the "fun facts" taught by professors are what are most remember able.
