I have a Masters degree in anthropology (with minors in zoology and philosophy) and a Bachelors degree in zoology (with a chemistry minor) from Oregon State University. I have tutored high school students in math, science, reading, and writing for the Upward Bound program, was a teaching assistant in college biology laboratory and biological anthropology courses at OSU, and later a teacher of bioanthropology at Klamath Community College, OSU (online and on campus) and Western Oregon University. I was laid off in December 2009 due to budget cuts, but continue to present lectures and write scientific literature. I also home school my daughter in reading, writing, mathematics, and natural science. I am very passionate about teaching at every age level (e.g. my daughter is 7). I have a PhD in Zoology from The Ohio State University and over the past 25 years I have taught at Columbus Technical Institute and Portland State University.
