Teaching can be a very powerful tool used when dealing with kids. Kids are a very delicate case when administering new information that they are needed to process/learn. My goal is to make that as less-painful as possible and to make it a enjoyable experience also. Patience is key with my teaching style and I also do not see a problem with making learning a fun thing for kids. I ask a lot of questions to get the students thinking. I believe in teaching young people and the adults I have worked with to think critically fist. Then I work with them on being able to articulate and write their ideas down...subject matter follows naturally if they have the confidence and can just think for themselves not just spit back facts and what others want to hear. I passed the Praxis for both of those subjects spring of 2010. I was not able to get a full time teaching position this year. I went back to working for myself but would love to tutor. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a daughter in the 8th grade and a son in the 6th. I have home schooled them the past 9 years. They have very different learning styles which has helped me to learn to teach in different ways to accommodate their needs. I am patient and easy going and I love helping kids.
