I plan to double major in mathematics and physics and then transfer to a graduate college, where I will be studying for my masters in engineering. My passion for math comes from my desire to be an engineer in the future, and since then I have disciplined myself to getting good grades in math. In high school, I took every possible math class that was offered and graduated with honors and a 4.9 GPA. My comments on tutoring Language Arts : I have been pretty good in English. My mom has her BA in English and I have defiantly picked up her English genes

I am currently a senior at Sherando High School in Stephens City, VA. I have always been and A and B student. I currently have a 3.5 GPA and received a 1300 on my SATs. My comments on tutoring Language Arts : Able to tutor/teach all Language Arts in any educational forum today.

I believe in tutoring so that the child receives feedback and fully understands his/her own limitations and how to overcome obstacles in class. Many children lack positivity in the methodology! I also believe that using art instruction helps children to learn in a more creative manner.
I have over of 30 years of progressive experience in tutoring young children in the elementary years of education in all subject matter areas. My specialty is literacy and reading, but I am also adept in teaching all of the math curricula as well. I also firmly believe that teaching organizational skills and proper research methodologies are very important for the classroom today--and every child needs these skills in order to excel in the classroom and survive. I am also a qualified art teacher in the NOVA area.
