Being raised in a home with educators greatly influenced who I am, and how I view the building of knowledge. While I earned my B.S in psychology and minored in business, I participated in after school tutoring programs for a local public school. My studies of child development and the neuropsychology involved in learning helped immensely as I pursued my graduate degree in the college of education. I believe all students learn differently and what we need to reach all students is to find out how they learn best and find a way to reach them that they will prove to be successful in. There are a lot of ways to reach students and when you find that one perfect way it all clicks.
I have worked in after school programs tutoring children throughout my college career. Then after my college career I taught 3rd Grade at Peaks Mill Elementary School in Frankfort, KY.
