I have been a tutor for only a semester now at Black Hawk College in Moline IL. I tutored up to College Algebra. I had two individual appointments and also worked with walk-ins. I have tutored Writing, Reading, accounting and a class about Microsoft Office.

I come from a family of teachers and have always felt that teaching was one of the most important professions because it can have such a positive effect on the lives of others. I began tutoring students in math when I was in high school and found that my patience, easy-going nature, and ability to explain complex topics in simple terms made me a natural teacher. I truly enjoy working with all students. My past experiences of interacting with children has shown me all children have the ability to learn, but learn at different paces and in different ways. I believe in finding out what learning method works best for each individual student and build from there. I am patient, understanding, and have a strong willingness to help others.
