I have two years of experaince teaching in public schools and four years of experaince teaching in Christian schools. I have an advanced degree in information technology and a background in English education. I have learned something from each of my students in my yeears of teaching but I think that my first year taught me the most. A Little Bit About Me...

I teach each person on an individual level. There are several reasons behind this. Some of them are: people have different strengths and weaknesses, people learn at quicker/slower rates than others, some individuals are more adept at one subject matter than another, and the motivation of the individual varies greatly from person to person. I try to teach by example. I also believe in constructive criticism and use positive reinforcement. I always try to give examples and "paint a picture" so that the person clearly understands the subject being taught. Hands on, discovery, field trips, audio, video, anything I can pull in to teach with is essential to making it the best learning experience that I know how.

I am a very patient teacher who treats students with respect. It is my goal to reach all learners and meet their needs from all ability levels and cultural backgrounds. I involve students in the learning process by giving them choices and input in project development, technology integration and enrichment/acceleration.
I have taught elementary school for 16 years. One year in the Lincoln Country School District and 15 years in the Rockwood School District. I have taught grades 1,2,3 and 5.
