Improving the lives of children has always been a passion of mine. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching career began at Lyndon State College in Vermont. During my time at Lyndon, I was able to participate in many internships. Lyndon put me into the school systems/districts as early as my sophomore year. While obtaining my education degree, I also became very interested in psychology due to the nature of some of my students. Along with Education, I also obtained a Liberal Studies degree with a concentration in Psychology. I graduated Lyndon with the "Most Outstanding Senior" Award in the Education department. After graduation I received a job teaching sixth grade. I love learning and so while teaching I enrolled at the University of New England to work towards my Masters degree in Education. I believe if we can integrate content with cross-curricular themes and skills such as writing across the curriculum in all subjects, not just during the language arts block, All students can access prior knowledge and reframe their thinking when appropriate.
