My comments on tutoring Bio-Medical Engineering : Taught biomedical instrumentation at the university level and was an engineer in the industry for 10 years.

I am capable of both structured and informal teaching styles depending upon the situation. I find that when smaller increments of course instruction is followed up with the student demonstrating proficiency and comprehension the overall learning experience is maximized. Repetition is normally the best way to comprehend not only the material presented but it allows the student to assimilate the steps and formulas simulataneously.
I possess over 30 years of academic/industry training the areas of mathematics, networking, programming and engineering. Having taught for 2 universities, 2 community colleges and several private institutions I bring to the class both an academic/private industry point of view. I was a substitute teacher in the Folsom Cordova School District in California during the 2007-2008 school year. I am currently working a substitute teacher in the Flagler County, Florida School District. I have worked as an engineer for 3M, ITW, Medtronic, and Waste Management. I have two patents. The first is developing a bio-stable polyurethane that potentially be used as an implantable material. The second was a membrane that filters out radioactive ions out of waste streams.
