So, you want to play guitar...

I have about 20 years of one-on-one teaching experience working with all types of aspiring guitarists. I have been playing for 30 years, and have performed close to one thousand times in various small jazz groups, both as a leader and a sideman. I have also sustained original rock projects and played in large ensembles. I have produced large scale concert events and handled the booking for several music venues.
I make sure each student receives a real music education and becomes comfortable with a music theory foundation, I expose all students to reading and encourage them to become good readers, which will set them apart from many guitar players out there. A good portion of the lessons focus on repertoire, with the student choosing the majority of the material.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a Junior college undergrad at Queens College in Flushing, NY. My mom is a NYC public school science teacher. My little brother is in high school and I help him with his homework frequently. My grades in high school and middle school were above a B+ always. My current average in college is a B. I am studying Pre-Law and I have an aptitude for Math. I can teach almost all subjects in high school and middle school, though.
