Painting is one of my top subjects! I am experienced with oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting techniques. I am familiar with painting on canvas, paper(s) and board and can make wood frames for painting surfaces.

I like to give a hands on demonstration and then offer support and constructive criticism to those who are learning. Art should be fun and an extended expression of the individual wanting to learn more about it.
I have been an artist since day one of my existence. I followed my passion for art throughout my educational career and pursued a Bachelors of Fine arts from San Jose State University. There, I focused my artistic desires on a degree in studio practice which schooled me in many forms of art from drawing, painting and some sculpting.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been tutoring since I was a fifth grader tutoring a first grader. Since that time I have continued to tutor students in a variety of subjects and utilizing a wide range of approaches. Over the past twenty plus years I have volunteered in elementary school classrooms ranging from kindergarten through sixth grade. I have tutored students from age 4 up to college level. I also have ten years experience as a homeschooling parent. I hold a BS in General Arts and Letters (writing, philosophy, art, etc) from Portland State University and have been accepted by two MFA programs in Writing.
