A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with students of all ages. In my experience, I have found that what may work for one student does not work for another. As a teacher, it is my job to find how I can help the student reach their learning goals. In order to do this I individualize the learning experience through scaffolding, inquiry learning, effective study habits and time management. My teaching experiences include college faculty member and home school teacher for my four children. They graduated from the Independent Study High School University of Nebraska, participated in Running Start and are all college graduates. I was also a 4-H leader for over twenty years and instructed many youth. As a community organizer, I developed public education and outreach programs. This involved teaching and mentoring people of all ages, pre-school through senior citizens. Currently, I am a school nurse for a middle school where I work to assess barriers to student learning.
